This is a typical Indian mentality. Everyone knows that Marutis are not safe at all. But as they are cheap, people still end up buying those cans of tin. Sad thing is that the competition doesn't give a fuck. Only Hyundai has managed to come very close to Maruti in terms of generating the trust that Maruti has. But still they don't pay attention to safety at all.
The manufacturers who pay attention to safety such as Tata, Mahindra and Volkswagen don't have similarly priced competitors (except some Tata cars that have been launched recently).
True about maruti service center.. They should come up with something better service in maruti authorised service center..
The thing is that people who buy cars like wagon r do so only because of their limited budget as well as their capability to spend on maintenance/ fuel etc.

Truly said about Service Cost, even for my i20 ACTIVE SX PETROL, the dealer in Palakkad, Kerala said the same 7500rs . I had to take the car to do the service at Outside, I could do the service at 3000rs including Cleaning engine and Outside. Same basic service with 5w30 engine oil
